14 insanely fun outdoor games to play with the entire family

Spring and summer time is for enjoying the beautiful weather outside. The best way to enjoy the nice weather is to have some good old fashion fun playing games. You can save your funds for barbecue food by making your own outdoor games.

Here are some outdoor games that you’ll want to have at your house this summer.

Giant Slip and Slide

We’re not sure what outdoor game/activity is more fun than slipping and sliding. After all, summer isn’t summer without a Slip and Slide. Find out how to make this super elaborate one here.

If you want to make a simple one, all you’ll need is some plastic, stakes, and a hose.

Lawn Scrabble/Bananagrams

You can paint paver stones to resemble a Scrabble board and use wooden or regular tiles to make the letter pieces. You can also construct something out of wood to hold up your letters so the other team can’t see them by propping them up against a rope held up by two stakes.

You can see how Keith and Jane Crane made theirs here. You can modify this slightly to play Banagrams, here.
